However, in keeping with our ministry of teaching and equipping based on the Holy Scriptures, we felt it is important that you KNOW and HOPEFULLY UNDERSTAND OUR HEARTS in regard to GIVING! Simply stated, we purpose to NOT BE CHARGEABLE to any man, but we CHOOSE to WORK (LABOUR) with our own hands to pay for this ministry. While we do welcome donations, we, by choice, do not seek them! We simply ask that individuals be led by the HOLY SPIRIT to give!
The purpose of NT Church Movement Ministry is to encourage and make disciples (translated from the Greek word “mathetes” meaning students, pupils, and students) by encouraging individuals to GROW and BECOME True Disciples of JESUS CHRIST through the READING and STUDYING of the Holy Scriptures which leads to TRANSFORMATION!
The NT Church Movement Ministry provides FREE tools and resources aimed at equipping NT Disciples with the knowledge and information needed to enable individuals to do personal studies or to help those who lead groups in the study of the Holy Scriptures in their homes or in organized churches throughout the world.
Our goal is GROWTH through READING and STUDYING into MATURITY (GRADUATION) with a corresponding TRANSFORMATION of LIFE (NEW CREATURE in JESUS CHRIST)!
The NT Church Movement Ministry follows the NT model of ministry that Paul COMMANDED us from JESUS CHRIST! Paul SET THE EXAMPLE and taught us that the ministry should NOT be CHARGEABLE to others, but that individuals should WORK and SUPPORT THEIR OWN MINISTRY! We also note that Paul received donations from those who had become disciples, which helped him continue the LORD’s work. Therefore, in keeping with Paul’s example, we have created this page for those who desire to support our efforts to make True Disciples of JESUS CHRIST!
2 Cor. 11:9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was CHARGEABLE to NO MAN: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I KEEP MYSELF. (KJV)
1 Thess. 2:9 For ye remember, brethren, our LABOUR and travail: for LABOURING night and day, because we would NOT BE CHARGEABLE unto any of you, we PREACHED unto you the GOSPEL of GOD. (KJV)
2 Thess. 3:8-10 (8) NEITHER did we eat any man’s bread for NOUGHT; but wrought with LABOUR and travail night and day, that we MIGHT NOT be CHARGEABLE to any of you: (9) Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ENSAMPLE unto YOU to FOLLOW US. (10) For even when we were with you, this we COMMANDED YOU, that if any would NOT WORK, NEITHER SHOULD HE EAT. (KJV)
Additionally, Paul WARNED leaders in the Body of JESUS CHRIST against being GREEDY of FILTHY LUCRE (MONEY): 1 Tim. 3:3 (bishops); 1 Tim. 3:8 (deacons); and Titus 1:7 and 11 (bishops and ministers).
Paul also WARNS against the DESIRE and PURSUIT of BECOMING RICH in 1 Tim. 6:2-10. This warning is clearly seen in these verses: 1 Tim 6:6-10 (6) But GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT is GREAT GAIN. (7) For we brought NOTHING INTO this world, and it is certain we can carry NOTHING OUT. (8) And having FOOD and RAINMENT let us be therewith CONTENT. (9) But they that will be RICH FALL into TEMPTATION and a SNARE, and into many FOOLISH and HURTFUL LUSTS, which drown men in DESTRUCTION and PERDITION. (10) For the love of money is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH, and pierced themselves through with MANY SORROW.
Our goal is to make as many materials as possible freely available in keeping with the TRUTHS of the Holy Scriptures. When JESUS sent His disciples forth, one instruction that He gave them was, “FREELY ye have RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE!” (St. Matt. 10:8) JESUS also teaches that if we go into the vineyard and work He will pay us whatsoever is right. (St. Matt. 20:1-4)
We believe that if we work faithfully in the vineyard of the Kingdom of GOD, GOD will provide all that we need and cause others to also send support as He leads.
